In 2005, he studied sound engineering in Tokyo, Japan, through the scholarship program of Rokuon Kyokai (the association of sound engineers in Japan). With his professional experience in the field of film-making, he had become part of the featured films produced by ABS-CBN Film Production, and had worked with known and veteran directors in the Philippines. He acquired his technical skills, both in broadcasting and film-making, through the various international trainings and seminars he attended. He graduated from the Mapua Instute of Technology with a bachelor of science degree in electronics and communications engineering.
