Wielder D. Catapat has worked as production and broadcast support specialist at the NU-Q since 2010. Prior to this, he was a technical supervisor at ABS-CBN Film Production (formerly Star Cinema Productions), the largest film producer in the Philippines, where he worked for more than eight years. Being the officer in charge, he assumed the functions and responsibilities of technical department head, and handled a production crew comprised of more than 120 members.
In 2005, he studied sound engineering in Tokyo, Japan, through the scholarship program of Rokuon Kyokai (the association of sound engineers in Japan). With his professional experience in the field of film-making, he had become part of the featured films produced by ABS-CBN Film Production, and had worked with known and veteran directors in the Philippines. He acquired his technical skills, both in broadcasting and film-making, through the various international trainings and seminars he attended. He graduated from the Mapua Instute of Technology with a bachelor of science degree in electronics and communications engineering.
