Student Life
The university experience is about classes and studying, and so much more. Students’ time at NU-Q is an opportunity to explore interests, learn new skills and make connections that will last a lifetime.
Student life at NU-Q encompasses the experience outside the classroom, the activities and pursuits that will shape and develop the whole person as he or she progresses from freshman to NU-Q graduate.
Join a club or team
The NU-Q student body is active and enthusiastic, with a robust offering of athletics, clubs and activities. Clubs are a way to meet new people, learn outside of the classroom and develop the Wildcat spirit that stays with Northwestern alumni for a lifetime.
Start a club
Student Life staff helps coordinate the planning and organization of school clubs, but the students are the ones leading the charge. Starting a club is an opportunity for students to reach out to others, share their skills and interests and learn the leadership development skills of planning, organization, communication and budgeting.
More »Run a club
Running a small club requires the same leadership skills—organization, planning and fiscal responsibility—as running a business, producing a film or managing a news department. It is also the basis of some of the most lasting friendships. For many students, running a student club is the first step in a career of leadership and innovation.
NU-Q Student Union (NUQSU)
NU-Q Student Union (NUQSU) is an advocate for the entire NU-Q student body, acting as a liaison between students and the administration and faculty. NUQSU provides communication between campus organizations and the student body, as well as offering opportunities for leadership development, involvement, and personal growth.
