About

Elizabeth Hoffman holds a BS in cinema and photography from Ithaca College and a MFA in radio, television and film from Northwestern University.

Hoffman began her filmmaking career in 2002 working as producer on the documentary Passing it On: The Southside Story in collaboration with filmmaker Louis Messiah that won Best Student Film at the AECT International Student Media Festival. In addition to cinema and photography she has also studied painting, writing and political science and is a Whalen Scholar Recipient for excellence in Political Writing. In 2008, her film Chicago Landscape No. 3 won third place at the Athens International Film and Video Festival. Elizabeth is a recipient of the Barbara and Garry Marshall Center for Media Arts award. She taught classes in sound design, editing and film production at the University of South Carolina before moving to Doha in 2010.
