Liz Lance

Liz Lance works as a research administrator at Northwestern University in Qatar. She holds a master’s degree in journalism from the Missouri School of Journalism, where she served as the assistant editor of the scholarly journal Visual Communication Quarterly and a producer for the Global Journalist radio program. She was a Fulbright U.S. Student Fellow to Nepal in 2008-09, and a recipient of a U.S. State Department Critical Language Scholarship to study in Bangladesh in 2012 and 2013. She speaks Nepali fluently and is conversant in Bangla. Her research interests include the American influence on journalistic practice in South Asia, representations of South Asia in the American press, and the South Asian press in the Middle East.
