Jan-Marie Petersen

Jan-Marie Petersen has a decade of international experience achieving business objectives through user-centered solutions in design, content, and digital technology. At NU-Q, she leads digital user interface design/web development projects, including a major relaunch of the Qatar campus website in 2015. Prior to joining NU-Q in 2012, Petersen was a communications manager and editor at an American music association in Washington, DC. She is the co-founder of the Doha chapter of the Interaction Design Association.

Petersen is completing a master's degree in interactive design from Savannah College of Art and Design and has taken graduate coursework in web programming and user experience design from Academy of Art University. She holds a BA in English from Luther College, a UX certification in interaction design from the Nielsen Norman Group, and a PRINCE2 project management certification.
