Academic Advising
Academic advising is an essential component of an undergraduate education. All first-year students are assigned an academic advisor.
The adviser offers support and guidance, and is a valuable source of information regarding courses and academic goals. First-year students are required to meet with their advisers no fewer than three times during the first semester.
Helping students make the most of their time at the University, advisers assist students with a variety of issues, including course planning, degree requirements, registration, study abroad, inter-school transfers, petitions to graduate, and resources within and outside NU-Q.
