Media Vision for Libya

Soon after the fall of Muammar Gaddafi in 2011, Libyans were faced with the daunting task of fundamentally reimagining the government and civil society. The National Transitional Counsel, acting as the interim government of the time, recognized the core importance of the media sector and reshaping the future of the country and the need for their leadership to better understand the relevant key issues. NU-Q convened a two-day session with NTC leaders and world-renowned experts to examine the building blocks of a re-conceived Libyan media sector, including:

  • The media economy
  • Media technology and infrastructure
  • Professional training
